Happy September from Enneagram Life!
Launch team announcement, Wednesday's free workshop & celebrating our page hosts
Happy September from Enneagram Life!
◽ As we welcome the fall, we’re full of anticipation for Enneagram Life: Personal, Relational, and Biblical Insights for All Seasons and that it will be able to be in your hands soon. We’ll be sharing the sign-up for the launch team in next month’s newsletter and would love for you to join us in reading an early copy of the book, behind-the-scenes access and even getting a free copy!
Here are a few quotes to whet your appetite in the meantime:
“Most of us strive to be good parents, so hearing someone say that parts of our personality might be impacting our children negatively can be hard to take. However, I find it comforting to think of my own relationship with my parents when I am tempted to overanalyze my children’s relationship with me. I can see my parents, their strengths and weaknesses, and what I have learned from them. Sometimes, their weaknesses hurt me, but ultimately, they had no impact on how much I love my parents.”
“As children, we were trained to conform, temper our true selves, and hide our dirty laundry at home. The problem with conformity is that your unacceptable behaviors never completely go away; they are just pushed into the corner of our lives where the people who accept us fully live.”
“There is no perfect Enneagram type for you to marry. Your emotional health and your spouse’s health have a greater influence on your marriage than your personalities.”
You can pre-order this book now and it will come right to your door once it is released on November 1.
◽ Wednesday’s the day! If you’d like to learn about how your parents’ Enneagram type impacts you, Elisabeth will be sharing this teaching for the first time at the Wholehearted Enneagram Summit (September 12-16.) You can catch her workshop for free if you watch live on Wednesday, September 14th at 10am PST/1pm EST, or for the 24 hours following the workshop. Grab your ticket to this free event here, that gets you access to Elisabeth’s session along with workshops by Suzanne Stabile, Beth McCord and many others!
◽ Each month, we usually share a question and the responses from all our page hosts, but we’re currently in the midst of quite a bit of transition with our pages. A number of our page hosts are stepping down from their positions at the end of September or within the next few months. We’re celebrating the good work they’ve done in creating a safe space of community in their time hosting and the courage it takes to step away when it is no longer the best fit. Thank you to Recah (1ish), Angelene (3ish), Cassandra (4ish), Kellyn (5ish) and Angee (6ish) for how you’ve served our Enneagram community.
We’re looking forward to introducing you to the new hosts for these spaces soon, and we’re still working on filling the spots for our One and Three community. If you’d like to apply for either of those, you can find the application and expectations for the position here.
Here’s a highlight from each page from the summer:
