Happy April from Enneagram Life!
Deadly sins, favorite flowers, a Mother's day gift idea + our spring coaching sale. 🌷
Happy April from Enneagram Life!
🌷 We’re so glad to share our current series which unpacks each type’s deadly sin. There can be a lot of misconceptions about what each of these actually means, and hopefully these posts can offer some clarity as you are understanding yourself and others. You can head to Instagram or Facebook to see the series so far.
🌷 If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day gift, an encouraging option for any mama who loves to start her morning with a warm beverage is an Enneagram mug. Mugs for each number, offering the reminder of that number’s God-given strengths are available in both 11 or 15 oz., as well as other Enneagram designs including this enamel one.
What an encouraging gift this could be, paired with a favorite tea or bag of coffee.
🌷 Just for fun this month, we asked our page hosts what their favorite flower is. We certainly aren’t assuming that everyone of that number will love the same flowers, but it felt fun to hear about beloved blooms from each number’s perspective.
From Recah, our 1ishandiknowit host: My favorite flower is the daffodil because it comes up even in the cold and brings the promise of spring with it.
From Rachel, our 2ishandiknowit host: I like hydrangeas and full roses.* They both come in so many colors and remind me of walks with my family in the Pacific Northwest.
*Full roses meaning they have bloomed properly. Store bought red roses are different, pretty but different.
From Angelene, our 3ishandiknowit host: I actually don’t have a favorite flower. They all make me very happy. I love a bouquet of different color blooms, each unique shape, color and fragrance adding to the beauty of the whole. My daughter is planning a tattoo sleeve using flowers to represent the people she loves. She told me she’ll be adding a small bird (I love them) to the mix as my representative. It used to bother me that I couldn’t settle on a favorite but I just go with it now.
From Cassandra, our 4ishandiknowit host: My favorites are anemone and ranunculus.
From Kellyn, our 5ishandiknowit host: I’ve been going back and forth thinking about flowers, trying to draw out some deep meaning or metaphor, but I’m learning more all the time to be okay with loving something simply because it is beautiful. In that vein, fields of wildflowers always leave me in awe. Red geraniums on the porch make me feel greeted and welcomed. And although it’s not technicially a flower, I love my monsteras and varieties of pothos inside, and anything that makes it feel like I’m living in a jungle.
From Angee, our 6ishandiknowit: I don’t have a favorite. Flowers are beautiful and I always think of how God takes care of even the flowers, and how much more precious are we.
From Nikola, our 7ishandiknowit host: I love any flower that is as big and beautiful as life itself, like hydrangeas, big sunflowers and peonies!
From Danielle, our 8ishandiknowit host: I love chrysanthemums! They remind me that it’s okay to be feminine and let beauty show, while still having a protected center because my vulnerability isn’t for everyone. :)
From Alison, our 9ishandiknowit host: It is hard to pick a favorite flower when so many bring me joy. Tulips, ranunculus, daffodils, grape hyacinths, zinnias, columbine, peonies and cosmos are all favorites that come to mind. This last year I decided to plant less vegetables and more flowers in my garden, listening to the joy they bring. I didn’t regret it in the slightest.
🌷 We’re so excited that you can now pre-order Elisabeth’s book, Enneagram Life: Personal, Relational, and Biblical Insights for All Seasons. This book guides you through the seasons of life—from childhood to the golden years—and explains the varied ways in which your Enneagram type plays a role in everything from your selection of a career to your parenting style and decision-making process.
Enneagram Life can serve as a field guide for how this fascinating typology plays out practically throughout life. Elisabeth proves that rather than being “too sacred for mere mortals” or “just another personality quiz,” the Enneagram is a useful tool for discovering why you respond in different ways to both triumphs and tragedies as you age.
If you already know you want to keep growing with the Enneagram, you can give yourself the gift of this book as a fall surprise by pre-ordering it now.
🌷 Our sale on coaching sessions with Elisabeth this spring is still happening! Coaching (typing or growth) sessions will be $80 (regular $120) until May 31, 2022. You can also bundle 3 growth sessions for $250 (normally $360.)
You’re also welcome to take advantage of this deal by purchasing a gift card, if you’d like to gift a session to someone else, as long as the recipient uses their gift before May 31, 2022. Just reply to this email if you’re interested in purchasing a gift card.
