Enneagram Six Observations
Some observations about Enneagram Sixes from an Enneagram Coach

Here are some things I’ve noticed about Enneagram Sixes that really don’t have enough text (or importance) to make a post or fill a book, but are interesting to us Enneagram nerds nonetheless.
If you are an Enneagram One or love an Enneagram Six I’d love to hear from you in the comments? How do these observations resonate?
Enneagram Six is very approachable, but doesn’t want to be?
Enneagram Six seems to have a very tender heart for animals.
Hobbies (specifically creative ones) seem to be an anxiety coping mechanism for this Six.
Enneagram Six can be very complimentary and very corrective at the same time. Maybe a superpower?
Enneagram Sixes tended to be anxious children who asked a lot of questions.
Sixes can struggle with black and white thinking even louder than Ones do.
Sixes are highly practical people and seem to prefer action over just talking about problems.
Sixes are hard to impress…at least with anything superficially impressive.

How the adults in a young Sixes life viewed their anxiety will majorly impact how they see it later on.
Sixes’ worst-case-scenario thinking tends to gravitate towards specific areas like health wellness, relationships, politics, finances…etc to varying degrees and the things they worry about will be very individual.
Being part of the thinking triad, Sixes often need time to think to know how they feel.
Sixes are naturally loyal, fiercely protective, and much more sensitive then they may appear.
Sixes don’t need you to be perfect, they just need you to not give up on them or betray them.
When it comes to people they love, Sixes will hold grudges longer and harder than the victim themselves.
If a Sixes life is too busy their inner-chaos never has a chance to calm.
Sixes don’t often try to change people.

As a six, I agree with most of these. I will say I don’t remember asking a lot of questions as a child but I’m making up for it as an adult 😂
